One of the exciting opportunities that I am looking forward to in the next few years is the possibility of doing some travel. Once upon a time (i.e. in the old days) I used to head off to Europe every time I could gather up some annual leave. But in more recent times that has changed and my trips have been more infrequent. However, that is going to change.
During my recent trip to California I was writing up accounts and sending group emails and making sure that all my photos were posted on Flickr in a more or less timely fashion. I thought at the time that it would have been much more efficient to have set up a blog for the stories so that they would be there fore everyone to read and for me to relish after. I did make an attempt to set a blog up while I was in San Francisco but unfortunately the iPad though great for most other things while I was away did not provide a good interface for Blogger.
So the first posts in this blog will tell in retrospect the story of my trip to California in October/November 2012. As part of this, I will face the challenge of my trip photos being either in my iPad or on Flickr which I can't access with my home ISP and can't access with my desktop. However, challenges are meant to be faced and overcome.
